Welcome Folks!

Hello all!

First and foremost, a big thanks to all of you. At such a short notice, you showed up for the hunt. Love your enthusiasm! We will make sure you have fun!

Some quick rules/instructions before we start off with the first day clues for daily treasure.

1) From today, daily you will get a mail from Thinktops with the set of three clues and a link to google maps.

2) Three clues will help you find the location – “Daily Treasure”. This location can be a river, landmark, locality, road or any place in the map. But all of them are within Chennai and definitely something worth ‘knowing’.

3) Once you have found the location, click the google maps link which we have provided and go to the place which you have found. Once you click on the bubble/balloon present on that location, you will be getting another clue (Anagram/Cryptic/Picture/Quote/Movie Poster or anything else). These clues corresponds to a famous personalities associated with Chennai. This clue will lead you to “Grand treasure”. (If you find too many balloons is the same place, zoom as much as possible to the place so that you can get to the exact place.)

4) You will be getting a spreadsheet to fill your answers and send it back to us. Stick to the template. Remember to fill the same team name you have provided us. (If there is no team name, we have used both the team members name as your team name.) All fields are mandatory.

5) This is how scoring works. One point for identifying the “daily treasure” and one point each for connecting the clues to the “daily treasure”. Please note that identifying the clue alone and not relating it to the “daily treasure” will not fetch you a point.

6) You need not send your answers for the clues (personality clues) of “Grand treasure” now. You can wait till the last day to send your answers. You have full 9 days to crack the nine personality and the “Grand Treasure” of Chennai.

7) Last but not least, winning is secondary. Take your time to crack. Try as hard as possible to crack yourself before say evening. Your dad/mom/grandpa will most certainly know the answers. Only when you can’t crack yourself, go to them for help. But when you go to them, be prepared.

Answers:

Daily Treasure: Vivekanandar House/Illam or Ice House

How clue 1 is related to Daily Treasure: That’s the picture of Swami Vivekananda after whom the place got its name.

How clue 2 is related to Daily Treasure: If you happened to visit Marina beach, Ice House is present between the statues of Anne Besant and Poet Bharathidasan (facing the beach on opposite side of the road).

How clue 3 is related to Daily Treasure: It’s an anagram of Fredric Tudor. Fredric Tudor is called as “Ice King” and he was one who built the “Ice House”

So with this clue, we go to the map link (http://maps.google.co.in/maps/ms?msid=202309063074475375859.0004adf5cc9fa7b8d0bae&msa=0&ll=13.036,80.273666&spn=0.369928,0.676346) and click on Vivekanadar Illam . On clicking you will end up with “Mozart of Madras”.

This is a clue for one of the personalities associated with Chennai – A R Rahman.

Using nine such different personalities/characters you get, in these nine days of Navarathri, you will be able to connect to a location in Chennai. That location is your Grand Treasure!

P.S. : This is just a sample set of questions. A.R.Rahman is not the answer for today :)
